Pros
The best thing about my time at Plan was my relationships with colleagues. Plan attracts some really great people to work there and I generally enjoyed every day I worked there. In my department there was a lot of opportunity to develop your career. Plenty of staff had started out as volunteers, and entry level staff have plenty of scope to move into more senior roles.
Cons
The organisation has changed hugely over the past few years and by the time I left, i can't say that I really shared the new vision which focused heavily on girls (instead of all children). The Programme Department seemed to be in a state of permanent disarray with quality staff members leaving all the time, usually for the wrong reasons. To be fair, the Public Engagement Department was in a much better state.
