Pros

Decent pay, if you are in a location that has the volume needed In store management worked with you to balance store and personal life

Cons

I'm going to try not to sound like a bitter ex-employee. Planet Cellular took over my company in May 2011, and the promises were made that no one would lose their job and that Planet would listen and work with us to aid us in the sales process, because according to planet they are one big family. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is a full commission job, however if you do not make commission you make minimum wage. All the employees and management at my store told planet that our location was horrible, we averaged 4 customers a day on a busy day. And suggested to planet they move our location. Our suggestions went unheard. When Planet took over all the employees that were with my old company did not get paid for two months, because of the way Planets pay schedule falls. When we finally did receive our first paycheck over three quarters of them were for the wrong amount. I received no extra help or training as Planet said they would provide. Upper management showed up once weekly, mainly to save face, the never had any information or gave any help. On a few occasions I asked them about a new policy and they didn't even know about it. In my final month there I was given a "GOAL" that I had to reach, however they set this "GOAL" up halfway through the month, and it felt like they were setting me up to fail. I was also told that even though my store was required to sell a set number of a particular product, I would not get credit toward my goal if I did sell that product. It has now been roughly one month since I left planet, and when I received my final paycheck, to my surprise, it was substantially lower then what it was supposed to be. Advice to people looking into this company. Research the location that you are going to, if they tell you they are not that busy, I would not recommend it. Your pay and if Planet keeps you is based on what you sell, however it's hard to sell to non existent people.
