Pros
Fully remote working options. Or, if in Berlin, there is a lovely and very central office employees can optionally visit. Relaxed work culture with little to no internal politics. Supportive, empathetic and passionate team committed to doing great work. Transparent reporting of financials and business decisions. Lots of autonomous work with no micro-management. The team is fun, accepting, diverse and always willing to help. Working in remote playtesting means getting to play a role in making amazing games, and the people we work with around the world are also great. Opportunities for growth—I started here 5 years ago as a project manager and have over time become a team lead and now Head of Research Operations. Job security: Being fully bootstrapped means we've grown at our own pace and jobs feel secure as a result.
Cons
The working hours for some departments can be fixed and a bit inflexible, though I can see the company striving to change this with strategic hiring decisions. There are busy periods where the workload is quite intense, but the team bands together to support each other in such times.
