Pros

The team at Plooto is one of the best I've worked with. Give them a well thought out task and they will crank it out. Team members are willing to give constructive feedback about the product that really takes it to the next level.

Cons

- The leadership team is out to lunch and doesn't understand their own users or products. - CEO expects you to work 12 hours a day but comes in at 11am and leaves at 5pm - The CEO changes his marketing and product directions every week. Requires that internal team members take hours of convincing to avoid rehauling the entire product - No data backed decision making is done at the company - CEO doesn't know his own numbers, has criticisms of every decision but never offers solutions - Long meetings with no real purpose - Authoritarian work environment where the CEO can never be wrong and every positive outcome was entirely his idea - Below average salaries - Promised medical benefits for 10 months without delivering - Treats employees like garbage and will openly criticize his cofounder in front of the team - The leadership team will never have your back - Most employees are there with a short term outlook

Pros

Plooto has been on a meaningful transformation journey, and the progress over the past two years has been real. The company has done the hard work of rebooting its culture, strengthening leadership, and creating more clarity around how we work, make decisions, and grow together. The CEO and executive team have brought a much stronger sense of focus, transparency, and operating discipline. 2025 in particular felt like a true reboot year: clearer priorities, more accountable leadership, better communication, and a renewed commitment to building a high-performing, people-first company. The culture is one of the biggest positives. There is a strong emphasis on trust, inclusion, ownership, learning, and doing great work with heart. I’ve seen meaningful investment in leadership development, employee experience, benefits, and the systems needed to help the company scale in a healthier and more sustainable way. Plooto is also full of smart, kind, mission-driven people who care deeply about the work and about supporting small businesses. It feels like a company with a strong foundation and a genuinely positive trajectory.

Cons

Like many companies going through transformation, Plooto is still maturing in some areas. The pace can be fast, priorities can shift, and there is still work to do to simplify processes and make sure teams have the clarity they need as the company scales. This is probably not the right environment for someone looking for a fully built, highly predictable company. It is a better fit for people who are energized by growth, change, ownership, and helping build the next version of the company.

Pros

- People were kind - Projects were easy

Cons

- Felt very cold at times as a result of the remote work policy - Company space is boring - Lots of red tape given the size of the company
