Pros

Some great non-management employees Remote with option for in-person office Social events to try and meet other teams

Cons

The company moves incredibly slow due to always trying to prove that what you want to do is the absolute best thing to do, and this process takes MONTHS of internal debating. Whether you’re Marketing, Engineering, Finance, etc No matter how much data you have, how much research you’ve done, how many users say something, you’re always trying to justify your position and ultimately if management debates it and doesn’t approve it then it doesn’t move forward Due to that literally nothing gets done at this company. I can’t say I’ve seen anything new of value launch in the entire past two years and it’s evident by their website Management also has a style for berating employees over everything and it’s extremely evident in the amount of turnover that happened. Just look at the Marketing team and how every year this team changes leadership and staff because no one wants to stay The culture is also bad across many teams. It’s almost like no one wants to help each other and every team has it out for the other

Plooto Response

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear your time with Plooto wasn’t a great fit. Our 4th Leadership Principle states that Plootonians move with purpose and insist on the highest standards. This means we are methodical in our decision-making process; we turn ambiguity into clear outcomes, which can take time. We are not one of those companies that throw things at a wall and hope they stick. This is in part why we can continue to grow responsibly while other companies are unfortunately going through layoffs. Some decisions may take months to make when they warrant it. Most decisions however do not take months when they are backed by data, facts, and follow internal processes. Plooto is not for everyone; we stick to our leadership principles and don’t let egos get in the way of decision-making. We debate ideas, align on an outcome and move forward. This is one of the ways we build a meritocracy. Another way in which we don’t let egos get in the way is through collaboration. Plootonians help those around them succeed. No task is beneath anyone, and we are committed to each other’s growth and success, and our engagement survey data back this up. Thanks again for your feedback; we hope you have found a better fit.

Pros

Plooto has been on a meaningful transformation journey, and the progress over the past two years has been real. The company has done the hard work of rebooting its culture, strengthening leadership, and creating more clarity around how we work, make decisions, and grow together. The CEO and executive team have brought a much stronger sense of focus, transparency, and operating discipline. 2025 in particular felt like a true reboot year: clearer priorities, more accountable leadership, better communication, and a renewed commitment to building a high-performing, people-first company. The culture is one of the biggest positives. There is a strong emphasis on trust, inclusion, ownership, learning, and doing great work with heart. I’ve seen meaningful investment in leadership development, employee experience, benefits, and the systems needed to help the company scale in a healthier and more sustainable way. Plooto is also full of smart, kind, mission-driven people who care deeply about the work and about supporting small businesses. It feels like a company with a strong foundation and a genuinely positive trajectory.

Cons

Like many companies going through transformation, Plooto is still maturing in some areas. The pace can be fast, priorities can shift, and there is still work to do to simplify processes and make sure teams have the clarity they need as the company scales. This is probably not the right environment for someone looking for a fully built, highly predictable company. It is a better fit for people who are energized by growth, change, ownership, and helping build the next version of the company.

Pros

- People were kind - Projects were easy

Cons

- Felt very cold at times as a result of the remote work policy - Company space is boring - Lots of red tape given the size of the company
