One of the worst companies to work for - I'd stay away at all cost - Director Plug and Play Tech Center Employee Review

Pros

- You can make good external connections during your short term of employment. - If you have no job experience and are okay with very low pay, a toxic environment, and impossible expectations, it could be a good stepping stone. - The food is not bad and is free (though not necessarily healthy). - You will hear a lot of exaggerated stories from the CEO about the company and its investments, most of which are not true but sound impressive when giving a tour. - If you are lucky enough, you could be promoted multiple times within a few months because the turnover is so high. Check LinkedIn, and you'll see many incompetent people getting promoted from junior positions to director roles within a few months because half of the team has left. - The health insurance is decent, but don't expect a 401K or other perks.

Cons

The work environment is highly toxic, with each day bringing new stressors, often over trivial matters that you wouldn't typically encounter in other companies. A $50 Uber ride can trigger a lengthy email thread of 30 messages. - The company is run with 80s Middle Eastern Management style, you have to go to the office everyday (for new employees) and you will called if you come to work 15 minutes late. - There is no possibility for advancement unless you have CEO's last name or friends with couple of upper management people. - People are not getting promoted based on numbers or achievements but more how much the CEO likes them or if they are close to the family. - Many of the high positions are filled with family members which makes it impossible to move up (I am not even gonna talk about the competency of these family members) - CEO will randomly call out people in front of everyone in meetings and grill them with very harsh words, (for nonsense things) rather than constructively in a private setting. - People taking credit for your work or stealing your work. - Since people are getting very low pay, nobody is willing to do anything outside of their work scope. Good luck getting other teams such as Marketing to help you with a project. - People are as fake as it gets, they seem very nice and the next thing you know, they are digging your grave. You can work here for a decade and leave without a friend that you want to see in a social setting. - Pay is dismal, commissions are stolen on a daily basis from employees into the pockets of upper management who the CEO (because they are family or he just likes them) protects and if you complain, you become the next target for layoff. - Prospective employees are frequently given unrealistic expectations regarding potential earnings and growth opportunities. (ex: Many candidates are attracted by promises of engaging in investment activities, only to discover that these tasks constitute only a small fraction—approximately 5%—of their actual job responsibilities once they begin their roles) - The company's reputation was highly regarded 4-5 years ago; however, it has recently suffered due to numerous complaints and the departure of several corporations from the platform. As a result, it is increasingly perceived as a company that struggles to fulfill its commitments, despite charging a substantial annual membership fee.

Pros

1. Talent: you will meet and work with a wide range of peers from different functions, backgrounds and experiences that will broaden your repertoire. 2. Networking: this is the place to meet and exchange ideas from a wide spectrum of professionals. The amount of events that are hosted at the building per year is remarkable. You are bound to meet and exchange ideas and business cards that meet your demographics. 3.Perks: there is a full time coffee and cafeteria that provides amazing snacks, coffee, and fresh and hot breakfast and lunch meals with multiple options. You will never go hungry here! 4. EV friendly: plenty of charging stations. 5. Fun: a fun and bustling place to work in general. There is always someone to meet, talk and exchange stories with.

Cons

Can get quite busy at certain times of the year. The building hosts so many events per year the parking lot can be congested. Plan ahead if you know of a major event you are attending or come early.
