Pros

Your peers are great to work with and my fellow SDR's truly care for me We all know Podium is terrible and so we stick together like glue to try to help each other and grind it out.

Cons

Been there for a little over half a year and out of twelve people only two people haven't been fired or quit. People are fired left and right, they don't care about developing you and you are micro-managed. I also know two people who have hit their numbers to promote, have actually exceeded them and they didn't get promoted. They preach about their culture but everyone is getting fired and about 20% of people are hitting quota. Also, maybe 90% or more of my team is white. If you interview as the manager how many peolpe they've promoted this last year, how many people they terminated, and what percentage of the org or what percentage of their team is hitting quota. See what answer they'll give you but they told me over everyone except one rep is hitting quota and that turned out to be the biggest lie. Also, ask on Linkedin and connect with people on how much time they spend after work actually working on Podium, Your manager will tell you to prospect outside of work hours and they'll also do stuff like put org trainings during lunch hours or right as the day ends in addition to planning standups and standowns outside the 9-5. Our official hours are 8-5:15 which goes to 8-5:30 at times.

Pros

Cool office building, learn from some of the best sales reps you’ll come across in your career

Cons

I worked at podium for a few years. It was the most toxic sales culture I’ve ever experienced. I do not say that lightly It was worth the money a year/two plus ago. They raised quotas multiple times in the last year and decreased the commission percentages. It is wild how many hoops an ae had to jump through to close a deal. In my 7+ of being in sales it was probably the hardest sale to close and I was a top rep. If you want to join podium it could be a good learning experience but it will come with a lot of headaches, anxiety about job security (they pip sales reps out like no other company I’ve ever worked for) and maybe some tears
