Pros
You get to learn a lot about Linux and server administration. As for my team, the work environment is great. And it entirely depends on the team and the team admin. The people around are friendly so you don’t feel the frustration that much. (Dono about other team members) It is technical support and server administration. So you dont have anything to worry about once your shift is over. 5 stars for that (Jr Software Engineer is Just for show) Food and Accommodation is cheaper comparitevly. ( yeah they are not free. And as for the food I seriously believe that you are not left with any other choice because you have SHIFTS with only MAX 20 break - though accomodation is a big plus) There are small events like onam, cristmas New year etc when you get to enjoy your self ( Don’t get the wrong idea!! we don’t have any offs )
Cons
For those of you trainees who thinks that the probation period is just for 6 months, you don’t get any exp if you are leaving on the seventh month. If you have managed to work for atleast 8 months you are good. One of the biggest con is the management of shifts. It is horrible. 6 days a week as of now with 8 hours a day which can change from 8 to 9 to 10 according to how you manage your work !!! With these irregular shifts :-/ Poor Salery- looking from outside the salery is somewhat general. But for the work it is not. No special allowance for anything. Nightshifts, overtime, shift swaps, sales commission Nothing. Never had a personal exp with the Heads of the company. My ancestor’s Goodness. Absolutely zero balance in life and work.
