Pros

- remote that is literally it

Cons

There is too much to even write out. I'll start with the complete lack of respect or appreciation for AE's. The comp plan is the worst I have ever seen in my career. They change it constantly and I mean 3-4 times in a year or two. Which is ridiculous to do to a sales team. Once, I understand to meet market demand and for growth reasons etc. They implemented a 2 up - 2 down policy in regards to commission payout. If you don't hit the quota you get paid out nothing. I have seen HR respond on Glassdoor saying it is competitive for a mature SAAS company. Thats a blatant lie. I have worked for a few "mature SAAS" companies in my career, none have had a comp plan that is complete garbage like this one. If you are an experienced AE and join the company, you will say the same. Quota's are unattainable, therefore very few and I mean very few even hit or come close to quota, therefore, you get paid out nothing or basically nothing. Salary is extremely low for AE's as well. Quick look on any salary comp website and you will clearly see, so whatever HR says you can very easily and quickly dispel within two minutes of research. Lastly and just as important, leadership does not actually care about restaurants. No one from leadership even comes from the industry. The product is an add on for restaurants not a must have. If anyone from leadership actually understood the industry they would know that. POS companies do most of what Pop touts to bring to the industry. Integrations do not work. Business is only surviving because of their partnership with Sysco and the product does not work for enterprise level partnerships. The only restaurants the product has actually significantly helped (also the ones they always use in their "case studies") are ones that didn't have a website, online ordering and weren't utilizing SMS or email marketing through their POS company. Very few and far in between in these days. I have owned a successful restaurant for the past 10 years. If you want to fact check what myself and others have said on here just look at; google reviews, BBB (better business bureau), reach out to past employees etc. I am sure HR will comment back saying everything is great. Do just a tiny bit of research and you will see for yourself what is true and not.

Pros

The mission is genuinely easy to get behind. Popmenu exists to help restaurants survive and grow, and that makes recruiting feel meaningful, not transactional. The product sells itself once candidates understand it. Leadership is accessible in a way that's rare. Working closely with founders and VPs who are actually in the weeds with you means faster decisions, better context, and work that visibly connects to outcomes. Remote-first and it actually works. You're trusted to operate like an adult. The flexibility is real, not performative. The culture lives up to the values.

Cons

The company is growing fast, and some processes are still being built in real time. If you need everything perfectly documented before you can execute, it'll take some adjustment. If you thrive in build mode, you'll love it.
