Pros
The company is invested in the community & there are many wonderful relationships & great teamwork. Countless opportunities to see humanity at it's best.
Cons
The relationships & teamwork is unit/dept specific. It is not supported or strongly encouraged by management/admin, but they ride the coattails of those in the trenches & reap the benefits. Poor pay & management/admin has a poor understanding of the reality of working the floor. They shadow, but use the time to shake hands & kiss babies, instead of truly admiring all that staff really does for the pts, community, each other, & the company. Porter doesn't have a great reputation, but the staff does a great job with what management/admin provides.
