      Undervalued and disheartened - Sustainability platform manager Position Green Employee Review

      Pros

      I joined Green Platform for six months, excited to contribute to their ESG initiatives. Unfortunately, my experience has been less than ideal. Here are my observations: Work Environment: The company’s commitment to environmental sustainability is commendable.

      Cons

      Learning Opportunities: While the focus on ESG emissions is crucial, the learning process was challenging. Clearer training programmes and supportive mentorship would greatly benefit new employees. The work environment lacks inclusivity and empathy. My team leader’s judgmental attitude made me feel undervalued and disheartened. Age Discrimination: I did not expect to feel belittled as an older professional. Age should never be a barrier to professional growth. Communication: Communication within teams needs improvement. Transparent feedback and constructive conversations would foster a healthier work environment.

      Pros

      Fantastic culture, super collaborative and engaging environment even across teams/regions. Felt very supported and encouraged to learn and grow from day 1. Slack was a fantastic way to share ideas and build connections. Amazing work life balance. People were very passionate about sustainability. Platform was very user friendly and allowed CS team to act very independently and be creative. Workload was fine but other teams had a ton of clients and were overwhelmed.

      Cons

      Middle managers were very immature in their leadership roles, not very much experience handling team conflicts or time management. Very frustrating to deal with. Overall, US Leadership was very good, flexible, cared about their employees. US market growth was not strong, limiting career opportunities. Company leadership was not great at strategic planning and long term growth.
