Pros
The work is really interesting and there’s a fairly good work-life balance. The people are really great and everyone is genuinely an expert in what they do.
Cons
Postlight markets itself as an open, inclusive shop that cares about its employees, but behind the scenes it’s a mess. Zero pay transparency and no salary bands; no one knows how much anyone makes and raises are given out secretly and totally randomly. Senior management only gives out raises and promotions when they think people are going to leave, what a joke. They’re also the earliest to leave the office and some of them take random vacations on short notice when there are clear rules about vacation policies. They spend the least time working and yet they still expect everyone to keep cranking out high quality work. No wonder morale is low.
