Pros
Good people at the hourly enginerring departments. QCB is nice.
Cons
Best advice is do not quit a job to become a production supervisor. Average length of employment at my facility (Redmond, OR) is about 6 months. By then people either quit or are fired. Upper mgmt does not care at all about the people that work under them, just care about hitting numbers at all cost. They over hire, then lay people off with no regard for the impact that has on people. No upward movement there, in the 1.5 years I was there not one supervisor was promoted, one was moved into sales and the rest either quit or were fired. Numbers that are needed to be hit are unrealistic and people are fired if not it. While I was there, 3 GM's were fired in the course of two years for not hitting numbers.
