- This company is very unorganized. There's no real structure as how a company should operate. Onboarding day was a complete nightmare and there's no adequate training before they assign you to do a task. You have to learn how to do it yourself or wait for them to provide "training" after a month you have been doing all the work yourself. They assigned you jobs that are way harder than you can handle.
- Poor communication skills at all level. The owner would ask you to come in during the weekend to work and that's not appropriate. Whenever they ask you to do a task, they write instructions in incomplete sentences and very short. Sometimes the sentences didn't even make sense. When you ask for clarification, you were told to think outside of the box more and don't just ask without thinking (at least do some work before you ask.) There were a lot of times when I did my tasks and then had to re-do it all over again because of the lack of communication and forced "think outside of the box" practices. But they like it like that. In my opinion, it's a waste of time and resources.
- Failed to take Covid preventative measures. They make everyone come to work in the office and even though they "established" that everyone must wear a mask in door, no one did (even the owner). I was surprised to find out on my first meeting, majority of the people didn't wear masks. They didn't really take serious precaution steps until 1-2 employees actually caught covid.
- The lack of feedback from management was another big issue.
- Cheap pay (at least for interns and contractors). They hire mostly desperate international students for these roles and make some of them work full time and pay them "intern rate" (which is still extremely low for interns). A lot of them quit early but some have been staying there and are still interns after 7-8 months into their jobs.
Overall, stay away from this company at all cost. Their extremely high turnover rate speaks it all (a lot of people quit 2-3 weeks into their jobs).
