Pros

Own schedule. No one over your head physically. Decent pay when there are hours. Interactive with customers. Get to temporary own retail product. Lazy management allows for more freedom . Ok to have as wknd job, not career. Don't be fooled, its not stable. Easy to get hired. Easy to use online scheduler system.

Cons

They randomly pick locations with no regards to your address! I would pass places closer to my home to get to a farther one. Retail management could care less about vendors and quite rude .too much printing, no pay. Pay card sucks. Pay stub is not explained and emails about pay roll issues take weeks. Not sure about who is responsible for returning items but I'll be damned if I have to pay for shipping. The last minute mandatory mtgs have no regards to the fact that you have a life.

Pros

Extremely flexible scheduling which allows for a good work/life balance Direct manager is very responsive Great variety of work to be done or the option to do just one type of work regularly 401k match

Cons

Pay is state minimum wage No longer paid for drive time since Acosta Group merged Crossmark with Premium Mileage payment is minimal- 30¢/mi from location to location excluding travel from and to your home location Working Advantage benefits for pt employees is terrible (rated a D+ with the BBB) No direct opportunity to move up in the ranks yet it's supposedly encouraged Company tends to hire pt to save itself more money and encourage pt employees to work ft when short-staffed and during the summer and holiday seasons Even district managers/direct field supervisors are pt and don't make a living wage No company-issued equipment Estimated times for service orders are often inaccurate because real world experiences (such as busy stores and customers interrupting your work) aren't factored in Often assigned survive orders for work I haven't received training for Most training is not hands on but you do learn as you go especially if your do the same types of service orders regularly
