Pros
There are absolutely no pros to working here
Cons
I would encourage HR and everyone at this company to look up the definition of exploitation, and no I'm not only talking about the fact that we bring in USD and are paid in Canadian dollars. Management creates unrealistic expectations and then threaten you with performance plans once you don't hit their goals - regardless of how hard they see you working day in day out. They love to tell you that "maybe working at a start up isn't for everyone" knowing full well that the Canadian job market is horrible right now and employees are stuck in their current role because of this. I have never worked somewhere as negative/ hostile as here. I am brought to tears after meetings/ call shadows with my TL on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. They have no human connection, I told them about some very serious issues to do with my health/ my family and there was zero sympathy or asking if i was okay. TLs who were once on our side have now drunk "Kool aid" and have added to the hostile environment that management fosters on a daily basis. At this point the majority of the sales team is making the equivalent of minimum wage once you take taxes etc. into consideration. It's simply not a living wage in Toronto/ Vancouver and it's certainly not what we signed up for.
