Working for Preply has given me flexibility and better pay potential compared to previous in-classroom positions I had.
Cons
As they have a market yourself business model, your first few months can be slow, so be prepared to charge less and work more in order to build a student base and reputation on the platform. As a language tutor, you are essentially self-employed, and there aren't any benefits.
