Pros

Many good engineers, vast resources/knowledge that is shared freely with each other. I have know of people that have moved up to leaderships positions, thus growth is for ones career is available. I have been able to move from one department to another arm of the company with some success. We are not micro managed and we are asked for updates. This allows one to own the project they are working on, with the availability of the collective knowledge of the company if the need show arise. Knowing what I know know after several years with the company, I would join the company again

Cons

Compensation, with that being said coming up thru the ranks may not appear to be as rewarding as it should be. The other side of the coin is that it also falls on the individual as well.Paying for your own training (there is some reimbursement). Raises is are an issue, but that can also fall back on the individual as well to increase their level of certification/personal knowledge level. It can be a catch 22, in that it is harder to pay for testing/training when ends are barley being met. Presidio is the combined make up of several companies that have been purchased, there have been several groups of engineers from the various companies working together and as if they were all step children now in one family there has been an undercurrent of who's old way was better or not and who maybe able to one up the other. That is subsiding, thank goodness.

Pros

Work load is pretty light. Good documentation. Work at your own pace.

Cons

Inconsistent standards among employees. No reward for good work or punishment for poor. No raises in Tier 1 and new employees are hired at a higher rate.
