Pros

If you’re looking to do door-to-door sales/further your career in direct sakes & marketing, don’t have much of a life outside of work, plan on selling people Verizon Fios and not getting paid until they get installed... look no further, you found your dream job! This is not an internship, this is not an “entry level job” that they advertise. It is straight up door-to-door. Everyone is nice and wants to see you grow.

Cons

This is a pyramid scheme. Kiss your social life goodbye! They trick you into thinking you’re working the best job and other opportunities aren’t good. So working basically 9-9 Monday-Friday, 10-5 on Saturday’s and judged if you don’t work Sunday’s.. with NO benefits is the best opportunity? No, think again. They’ll talk about your opportunity of growth and how fast you can move up and compare it to 9-5 jobs. DONT STAY JUST BECAUSE OF THAT!! (Because it really isn’t true!!!!!) Brainwash brainwash brainwash! Cory wants to see you grow so he can make more money. The more sales you make - the more money your boss gets. Don’t make your sales quota? You get paid about 500 for all those long hours you worked, regardless of what the outside weather is. Oh also, in your interview they will tell you you’re never alone. That’s not true - a group goes out to the same town together; but you work your own territory totally alone.

Primus Management Group Response

We apologize that your experience at Primus Management Group was less than satisfactory. To address some of your claims, we would like to point out that we are up-front and honest with all of our incoming team members about our entry positions, growth incentives, and compensation packages throughout the interview process. Primus Management knows in order to be successful there must be a healthy work life balance, and for us to not provide that would be unethical. We are goal oriented because we know that to succeed in business. We also provide hands-on experience into the world of owning your own business, which includes both the good and the bad aspects of entrepreneurship. Many members of our team have taken advantage of our training methods and are now doing very well for themselves. This career path is not for everyone, and we are sorry that our company values did not align with your career goals. Your feedback will be taken into consideration.

Pros

Primus Management Group taught me that working hard pays off. This company promotes on performance and, in doing so, forces an individual to develop a certain level of confidence necessary to succeed in any sales company. Because of the way the business is structured i was able to develop strong communication and leadership skills that have allowed me to progress throughout my career. The culture was amazing. Team oriented and fun in the office with team activities planned throughout the week. Everyone seemed motivated by the success of others which is something that i was extremely attracted to. Primus also gives an individual plenty of opportunities to travel. Throughout my time there i was invited to attend leadership conferences in Dallas and Philadelphia, go on business trips to NYC and Washington DC, we had a holiday party in at Atlantic city and i was even invited to a getaway in Cancun. Keep in mind that most of these trips were incentives rewarded to those who put in the work, but even with that this shows that hard work does in fact pay off. This job was a great first opportunity out of college and, even though i ended pursuing other ventures in an outside industry, i have nothing but respect for those that succeed with Cory and his team.

Cons

The hours are longer than your typical 40 hour work week (46-50)
