The culture of the company is such that everyone is against each other. The management team does a terrible job of supporting their employees and fosters a competitive environment that is simply not necessary. There are cameras and voice recorders everywhere throughout the office that get reviewed frequently. They don't even trust their own employees! The training that new employees receive is minimal and not helpful - they hand you a book and expect you to learn ALL of the payroll laws and policies in 1 month. They also expect you to train yourself on how to use their software. The workload itself is manageable but gets very stressful at the end of the year until April.
The best word to describe the office culture is toxic. The CEO and management team do not care or put forth any effort to help their employees grow or develop professionally. As long as you are doing your job and making the company money, that is all they care about.
Their tactic is to hire recent college graduates and pay them minimally - $10/hour. The turnover rate is so high because of the low pay and toxic environment. One of the girls when I was there, after being hired to be a part of the sales team, quit without notice because she was asked to do manual, secretarial work all the time. They will use you for their benefit solely.
