Pros
Remote work, fun culture, and flexible PTO.
Cons
I was given very little training and my goals were not clearly explained. I was given no guidance on how to actually reach and exceed my goal (or lack thereof), and I was only told to "make the calls". Rather than utilizing functional CRM software, I turned to spreadsheets for documenting sales calls and creating target lists. The previous CRM system lacked ways to create target lists and reports unless you are on the recruiting side, A new software was implemented to improve overall business, but it's designed to be used for recruitment efforts, and was not user friendly for the Business Development team. Within one year of employment, I saw 6 colleagues hired and fired, so I constantly worked in fear of losing my job. The commission structure is extremely low compared to other staffing firms. Not only do you have to hit a threshold to even qualify for a quarterly bonus, the threshold restarts each quarter. It's nearly impossible to make any extra money beyond the low base salary. This is not a good place to work unless you are set financially for the first 6-12 months (if you make it that long), or you are just starting out in your career and can afford to live on a low income (and losing your job quickly isn't an issue).
