Pros

Fun start-up environment, lots of work to do an some really dedicated/smart staff.

Cons

Executive team has a massive disconnect to the staff. The company has let go nearly all of their executive team in the last year, and it's clear they do not understand the actual challenges they face, just constant theorizing when really practical solutions are needed. A lot of career chasing staff just wanting to be heard sounding smart, but not actually helping. Corporate goals are set above what is realistic and staff are set to fail.

Pros

The company has access to innovative trials that have real potential to impact patients, which makes the mission meaningful and motivating.. at least on paper. Team members at the site level are another major strength. Colleagues are collaborative, hardworking, and often go out of their way to support one another.

Cons

Employee satisfaction has dropped to critical levels (eNPS of 7), driven by ongoing leadership failures. Career growth is minimal, and I know of many employees that have been waiting years for advancement despite taking on expanded responsibilities. Management quality is inconsistent, with poorly vetted leaders who lack the experience to lead effectively, reflecting a broader gap in expertise at the top. Many didn’t even have much of a research background. Managers often lack the fundamental knowledge required for their roles and rely on junior team members to teach them how to do their jobs. High turnover has created ongoing instability, with inexperienced managers relying on their teams to train them. Morale has deteriorated to the point of organized walkouts, signaling deeper systemic issues.
