Pros
Typically a relaxed environment to work in. Good people to work with. A huge plus is that the "selling" aspect of retail banking isn't pushed as hard as other more corporate/larger banks. It is encouraged and your sales performance does reflect on your annual review, but it's pretty lax, all things considered. They mostly just allow you to do the job you were hired to do and not shove mortgage loans or credit card opportunities down every single customer's throat. You also are eligible to receive company stock after one year of employment.
Cons
It doesn't really matter how well you perform, you usually only get a $0.25/hour raise every year. No holiday bonuses. The only real "bonus" you get is if your branch performs in the top 3 of the year, but it's never more than a couple hundred dollars.
