Pros

I titled this post what I did because this describes Myke and his team in a nutshell, and it was the best experience I didn't see coming. I came here looking for a job, but it ended up being much more. Myke is tough, but he tells you what you need to hear to help you grow, just like any good coach will do. It is because of him and his team that I have been able to go on to start my own company, and pay it forward, giving opportunities to and investing time and money into other people. In other jobs, I made at most $12.50/ hour with a college degree. Here, I consistently made $1200-1900 or more per check because pay is based on how hard you work, not what someone else says you are worth. It is the same with advancement. If you hit the qualifications, you move up, and the team is willing to do everything they can for you until you meet them as long as you are willing to buckle down and get serious about your own growth. This position made me a better person and a better business professional, and Myke is still helpful to me to this day.

Cons

It's hard work, but no one gets anywhere without being challenged. If you want a 9-5, keep looking. If you want real mentors and opportunities, work here.

Pros

During my six months in the management training program, I was able to learn a variety of valuable skills that will translate to the rest of my career. The management training program is a 6-8 month program that basically crams 3+ years of training into half a year. I'll be honest- its intense and hard work but nothing else compares to the skills I've been able to learn here. Coming into the business, I didn't really know what to expect or really what was going to be expected of me but in hind sight, it was the best professional decision that I have made. There are four different checkpoints to hit during the growth of this program, starting at entry level and ending in an executive management position. In this program, Project 30 teaches everything that pertains to management- the first and most important is SALES- yes, I said sales. Without this knowledge of how to generate profit for a business- that business would ultimately fail, so this is why this is the first skill they teach. They also teach different marketing systems, how to work directly with clients, how to build and manage a team of people, conflict resolution, how to recruit, training and everything in between. Honestly, those skills will help in any professional avenue I chose in the future but the most beneficial part of the program is the personal development that goes along with the professional development. I must admit- sadly, this program and opportunity is NOT for everyone. Its intense learning, fast paced atmosphere, team environments, hard work, long hours, sales, and learning how to train different types of people. This path speaks directly to those with an entrepreneurial spirit. But the amount of time, energy, and work put into this program- if you complete it- is worth every second and can potentially become life changing- where someone can potentially be placed in a position where they can own and manage their own business. With all transparency- if you don't like sales, this isn't for you- if you don't like people, this isn't for you- if you don't want to work hard (nights, weekends, and YES EVEN SUNDAYS!) this isn't for you. But if you want a chance to grow in a career where nothing else matters (education/experience) except hard work, good attitude, and a want to learn- and if you value growth, teamwork , and leadership- this could be an option.

Cons

The cons, and I'll be 100% honest- its a 6-8 months of hard work and long hours. I think owning that aspect more will help the perception of this company- its 6-8 months of hard work, long hours- weekends, nights, and Sundays but after that someone has the potential to move into an executive position. This company should turn this "con" into one of it's "pros"

Pros

Unless you are really into direct marketing and sales, you'll hate this job.

Cons

They were completely dishonest in the job description about what I would be doing. I applied to be a "Boutique Public Relations Assistant/Design Consultant" -- I stand in a Sam's Club or Costco for six hours a day hocking random products I know nothing about. Every staff meeting feels like a cult meeting, and everyone around me is drinking the Koolaid. This company is a subsidiary of Smart Club which is connected to numerous other "scam sales" jobs. I really wish that I had known better what I was getting myself into. Further, there is a complete and total lack of professionalism in every facet of the office. Their response time to emails is appalling. Much of my communication with my boss has been via text and response times there are even worse. They have strange rules about not allowing certain level employees into the office until it's time for the morning meeting to start. Further more, they claim to be a supportive, team environment, but really no one has made an effort to introduce themselves to me. Every "system" for sales success that I've had to present, I've had to teach myself because they handle time so poorly that there's never enough time in the morning meeting to complete a lesson.
