Pros

Propane Studio has a lucrative client-base and convenient location. The CEO is very enthusiastic and cross-applies his attitude to an atmosphere that may or may not be conducive to Propane Studio's client-base

Cons

Unrealistic deadlines that are coupled with poor planning and project layout. Not a "laid-back" place to work at all. Terrible work-life balance. Very disorganized management, passive-aggressive communications, high turn-over of very talented people in the industry with proven track-records, split projects that are passed and parceled indiscriminately to each department with no visibility to when deadlines will be delivered. Unprofessional work-environment - "bro-culture" that does not match with the Fortune-500 clients of this company and an anti-woman environment.

Pros

Opportunity to work with very talented people is clearly the first big perk. Compensation and benefits in general are good. The company is clearly making efforts to improve employees benefits. The work itself can be really great and exciting sometimes and there is a great effort driving new business. You get a chance to play on both sides. The CEO is a fantastic person and, more importantly, a dreamer. It can be very inspiring and entertaining to have a 30 minutes or 1 hour chat with him. His vision for new businesses, for the future of digital and for the future of Propane Studio really makes him a one of a kind CEO. The company is making a reasonable effort to build and foster a healthy career growth for all employees.

Cons

As a small and fast growing digital agency, it suffers from similar issues consulting companies do: client satisfaction comes with a price - one that employees pay working against "unreachable" deadlines. Not all benefits are good in comparison with other companies. Health insurance coverage is not as great as in other companies in terms of cost and options. There is no 401K either. Lack of organization can be a pain sometimes. Not all roles in the company are fulfilled yet which can be either positive (for the ones aspiring to step up) or negative (when wearing multiple hats can stop you from doing your work).
