In my reflection on my time with Propel Tech, I feel it's important to present a balanced view by discussing both positive and negative aspects of my experience. On a positive note, Propel Tech does offer an enticing package that can be appealing to potential staff members. Their benefits and compensation package, on the surface, seem competitive and enticing, creating a promising impression for those considering joining the company. This package does provide a strong initial draw for prospective employees, reflecting a proactive approach to attracting and retaining talent. Another aspect worth mentioning is Propel Tech's ambition to expand its size. It's clear that the company envisions growth and has articulated a desire to scale up its operations. This ambition, in theory, indicates a forward-looking attitude and an eagerness to evolve. However, this is where the positive aspects appear to be overshadowed by other considerations. Whilst Propel Tech has an overarching ambition to grow, the understanding of what this involves is only fully realised by the Head of Operations who possesses a remarkable combination of foresight, strategic acumen, and an unwavering commitment to the company's development. Out of all the senior leadership team, it is the Head of Operations who stands out as a beacon of competence within the organisation. Their insights, guidance, and dedication have undoubtedly played a pivotal role in navigating Propel Tech toward its growth-oriented goals and without them, the company would have faced many more challenges. The company's commitment to fostering a personable environment is evident in their interactions with both staff and clients. Propel Tech has consistently demonstrated a willingness to bend over backwards for its clients, even when it entails a potential deficit to the company. This unwavering dedication to exceeding client expectations is a testament to their customer-centric ethos (albeit, not always in the way that puts its staff members first).

It is with great disappointment and frustration that I reflect on my time with Propel Tech. My experience with this company has been nothing short of appalling, and I feel compelled to share my grievances to forewarn others. To start, the lack of professionalism displayed by Propel Tech was evident from the very beginning when I was offered a job above the one I had applied for. Ultimately this turned out to be a false promise which turned out to be nothing more than smoke and mirrors. I was led to believe that I would be engaged in a specific role, only to find myself severely restricted in my ability to perform the tasks associated with it. This bait-and-switch tactic is deceitful and entirely unacceptable. Equally distressing was that I was never provided with a job description, or employment contract during my employment. On leaving I requested these items only to be told that they had forgotten to send me the contract and they never wrote a new job description. This blatant disregard for proper procedure speaks volumes about their priorities and their respect for their employees. However, what truly shocked me was the culture of gossip and backbiting that seemed to pervade the company. The toxic environment fostered by talking about people behind their backs is indicative of a severe lack of professionalism and respect for coworkers. It's disappointing to see a company that indulges in such behaviour, undermining any sense of trust and unity within the team. One of the most disheartening aspects of my time at Propel Tech was witnessing how they exploit people's good nature for their own benefit. They take advantage of employees who genuinely want to contribute positively to the company, manipulating their good intentions for their own gain. In conclusion, my experience with Propel Tech has been marred by unprofessionalism, broken promises, toxic gossip, and the exploitation of employees' goodwill. It is my sincere hope that my account serves as a warning to others considering involvement with this company. Such behaviour should not be tolerated or condoned, and I urge individuals to think twice before aligning themselves with an organisation that conducts itself in such a reprehensible manner.

Pros

I've been working with Propel Tech for about two years now and everyone is great. The culture is very relaxed. All they want to do is a good job for their clients, and the leadership team all about listening to the team and giving everyone a chance to contribute and grow.

Cons

It ould be lovely to see more people in the office sometime - I guess that's just the way of the world these days with hybrid working.
