Prudential's mission is to "Lead the transformation of US Retirement;" however, the plan to do this involves offshoring as many US based jobs as possible. To counter the negative backlash of doing so, the company is making grandiose fanfare about hiring veterans for the few remaining jobs that will remain in the long term.
To my fellow veterans, this is a warning that in order for the company to showcase veterans they will keep you down at the lowest levels without the chance of promotion indefinitely, ie until you quit and find a real job. So, if you are looking for a place for advancement / career opportunities, keep looking.
Unfortunately, this is also true for all other employees as well, unless you have internal connections, in which case you will rise very quickly regardless of your actual skills. Again, this is a place of who you know, not what you know.
I regret wasting the years I have had Prudential.
