for agents its pretty much a scam. 100% commission starting day 1, with no legit way to build a book of business (their main focus seems to be having you call clients that have already had their agent(s) leave, so you can try to sell them something else). The products they want you to focus on won't pay you anything significant for the long term to keep you there. The only agents that stick around seem to be the ones that have been there already for 20+ years or ones that inherited a book of business in their first few years. Also, Prudential will bill you to work in your own cubicle on a monthly basis, and then charge you an additional $80+ a month to use their virtual desktop interface after you have been there for more than 2 years. You provide the laptop and technology to access this virtual desktop interface, not them. Lastly, agents aren't eligible for the employee stock option program, despite being the very backbone of the company.
