Pros
1. Diversity & Inclusion: Purple is the symbolic color for LGBTQ community. Hence you can expect recognition and equality for all types of people here. 2. Startup Culture : The company is a start up handling AI and Robotics. So you can get your hands in to latest technologies & many grey areas. Also get used to the startup culture.
Cons
1. Mentality -Don't get misguided that this a US company and follow american standards, processes, salaries, onsite opportunities, policies etc. The management consists of Indians only and you can expect only Indian mentality in all areas. 2. Value: The company values its clients only and not you. You are just a worker. Clients mistakes will be ignored but your mistakes will be penalized. 3. Salary & Appraisals: High Salary & Appraisals are only for higher level staffs. For normal employees, Salary & appraisals are way below market standards. You will have to search for a better company if you need a salary of market standards. 4. Late Salaries: There are some financial crunch since this is initial years and hence salary will get delayed frequently. 5. Leave Policies: Leaves are very less compared to Industry standards. Also Managers, especially the ones in India make lots of resistance and issues even for a genuine leave (Eg:-Maternity Leave). It gets even ridiculous that if you have to take any kind of leave, you have to inform 10 days before the leave date. So for example- if you have fever today, you should have consulted a doctor earlier and should have applied for leave 10 days earlier. Don't be surprised, this is company rule. 6. Unfilled Positions & Role Changes: There are many critical roles unfilled. For example, there are no permanent HR, Product Owner, External Project Manager, Technical architect, Solutions designer etc. Hence don't get surprised when you are assigned with any of these roles. If assigned with additional role, don't expect salary hikes nor KT, instead you can hear only complaints on your shortcomings in the new role. So please make sure that you see the JD in the application phase and stick to the JD. 7. Before & After Joining: The terms & conditions before joining may change after you actually join. For example:- Before joining, the terms will be "you can work from Home" and After Joining , "you need to work from Office". Managers think that anyway you have left your previous company, so you don't have any other choice now. 8. Contract: The contract consist of mostly one sided rules. For example: If you want to leave the company, you have to serve 2 months notice period. However the company reserves the right to terminate you immediately by providing 2 months salary. Also your contract will be automatically terminated when you reach a certain age.
