Pros

I would say that people are generally quite friendly, and there are individuals at the company who are charming to work with.

Cons

The management here is gaslighting and conniving. I experienced managers actually lying to other management for advancement. The culture here is toxic and any self-respecting person should stay away. The culture touts inclusion and innovation, but you will find that there is almost zero tolerance for alternative designs or ideas. In fact, there are 'review boards' in which any service must go through dozens of strict requirements that had been pre-decided by management, that ultimately have very little justification for them, other than to force people to do things a certain way. It gets worse, in that most of the management and higher-up engineer circles were Good Ol' Boys Clubs. I had seen cases where women (talented women) were put down or sent to other projects if they spoke out against things. The culture pretends to promote diversity and ideas, except this is a lie. The president over culture, as well as HR, had received many complaints of management retaliating against employees and firing employees under false pretenses. Much of the reason that Qlik does not have worse reviews on Glassdoor is because they will fire people who have a negative experience, and then they will withhold severance pay unless people sign legal documents that prevent them from speaking out. This company has systematically been gobbling up competing tech companies for years, hiring their employees, getting them to build a new portion of the system, and then firing off most of the staff from that company. If you are part of an acquisition, you should expect to receive a high salary for a time, and then get fired once you have delivered it. The CEO of Qlik should be ashamed of the culture there. His management is largely unqualified and are the kind of people who make for terrible leaders -- And yet, they will speak of themselves as great leaders.

Corporate bonuses are only paid to director level and above. I wish some sort of bonus was paid to everyone.

Pros

The people you meet at Qlik are one of a kind. Truly amazing, dedicated, supportive people. Whether that be the Demand Center leadership, your peers, or the sales managers. The culture here is phenomenal!

Cons

Too many changes, every year or sometimes even couple of months, you have new managers and a new territory. It’s hard to get a handle of it coming from one industry and training to another. The pay is low compared to other SDR/BDR roles in the industry. No fault to the managers on the BDR team, but the senior leadership tends to care more about activity volume on top of quota. You could hit your quota by 110% and they’ll still ask you to get 100s of calls in a day. The company has also lost the plot on product. Qlik Sense is an amazing analytics tool. If they doubled down on their analytics and made it truly in the cloud and low code/no code, they’d have better results.
