Pros

opportunities to be promoted from within, lower level and regional management are great, work life balance was solid until new CEO

Cons

Pay for sales reps is nowhere near relative positions at other companies - especially for people promoted from within as they pay external employees almost twice the amount for the same position, Outlook of Quest from current employees has gone downhill fast since new upper leadership and C-level executives took over the past year, long time employees are dropping like flies and going elsewhere

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and I'm glad that you've found so many pros during your time with Quest. We value transparent communication and our all-hands calls are designed to promote this. We don't sugar coat anything and we invite questions of all kinds. The one caveat is that we don't respond to anonymous questions on those calls. If an employee really wants to ask a hard question, they have to own it. If something is bothering you, speak up using one of our internal methods of feedback such as townhall, We Are Listening, engagement survey or by sending an email directly to me or to Patrick. The difference between those methods and Glassdoor is that you have to own it by signing your name. LuAnn CHRO

Pros

I’ve had the opportunity to be part of this organization through multiple phases of growth, change, and transformation. Like many companies in the tech space, there have been challenges and periods of transition. What continues to stand out to me is the organization’s ability to adapt, evolve, and keep moving forward. There is a strong focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and finding better ways to work. Current leadership encourages employees to share ideas, embrace change, and help shape meaningful improvements. I’m especially excited about the growing focus on new technologies and AI, and how they’re being used to help teams work smarter, faster, and more effectively. One of the things I value most is the culture. Employees are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work, share different perspectives, and participate in programs such as Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that foster connection, belonging, and community. I’ve appreciated the organization’s continued investment in these programs and in creating an environment where employees feel supported, heard, and valued. One of the most rewarding parts of my experience has been watching people grow their careers over time, whether that’s taking on new opportunities, moving into leadership roles, or exploring entirely new paths within the organization. In my experience, those who are willing to learn, have a growth mindset, stay adaptable, and embrace new opportunities can build long and rewarding careers here. After nearly a decade with the organization, I still believe its greatest strength is its people, culture, and commitment to continuous growth and improvement. I remain grateful for the opportunities, experiences, and relationships that have made my career journey both rewarding and meaningful.

Cons

Like many organizations, periods of growth and transformation can create change and uncertainty. Success often requires adaptability, a willingness to learn, and an openness to evolving priorities.

Pros

Quest Software is a great place to work. The people are genuinely good people, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Quest is a strong environment if you enjoy solving complex technical problems, working with experienced teams, and helping customers address real business and security challenges. The company has a deep portfolio, talented employees, and many opportunities to collaborate across sales, presales, product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams. I also appreciate the flexibility, the trust given to senior employees, and the ability to contribute strategically beyond a narrow job description.

Cons

Like many large technology organizations, processes can sometimes be complex, and internal alignment across teams may take time. There are also opportunities to improve enablement, communication, and consistency around product packaging, roadmap visibility, and internal workflows.
