Pros

-You get experience. -1.289% Chance to get a free trip to Hawaii with a plus one.

Cons

-Scheduling is horrible. They like to hire alot of employees during peak seasons, leaving those who have been working at a store for years will have to work as an Extra Relief Personnel on a shift that most likely does not work with your own schedule, or transfer to a store that can give you those hours. To make room for new clerks i guess. - No breaks. Not that I really need one. I usually like to work until the work is done. I'm pretty sure it is illegal to not give your workers a break though. -Not enough time off. Only full-time employees get vacation days. Even if you work full-time hours as a part-time clerk, you do not get vacation days. You get 5 Personal days, 10 Sick days, and 30 free shifts to start. Those days return to you a year and a day later. Use them wisely. Free shifts are shifts where you work a couple hours and if an Extra Relief worker is available then they will come to finish the remainder of your shift so you can go home. -Managers will not work with you on personal issues that may arise at work. Lets say if your pants rip in the crotch area so that your underwear is showing as well as your genitals. Your manager is not allowed to let you go home and change even if you live down the street! This happened to me and about 12 others in my area. My underwear and genitals were exposed for 5 hours of my 8 hour shift. -Corporate does not warn stores about upcoming deals. We are meant to take the deal head on with whatever we have in stock, have customers screaming and yelling at us for being out of product, and then supervisors getting on us about not having product when they were supposed to inform us in the first place. We had an ice cream deal since the beginning of March 2018 where you can get an ice cream cone or ice cream in a cup for 49 cents. It is June and stores are just now getting stocked with just enough ice cream for 3/4ths of a normal day. That is still not enough. -There are not enough hours available at stores to give stores the help they need. Corporate is trying to save money. This makes every store short handed. There are tons of DAW tasks that each shift has to do, but they do not get done because every store is short staffed due to the low hours. -You have to give up your life to make any money at this job. Unless you want to work your way up to Store Manager, this is not the place to make money. Store Managers that I have spoken to make around 90-120 thousand a year if they combine their salary with bonuses. Being a First Assistant or a Second Assistant is pretty close as well. But DO NOT become a permanent Night Assistant o r Relief Assistant. I suggest getting the management experience of a NA or RA and then going to a better paying job.

Pros

“ good “ benefits … bonus , and profit.

Cons

Yall please don’t go working there. You don’t have any breaks weather you full time, part time, manager , whatever. You can’t eat, drink, sit down or anything your whole shift. If you have tattoos you will overheat because of it already being hot outside and in the store. The pay doesn’t match to the amount of work you have to do. You can’t really depend on anyone because there’s nobody on the shifts to depend on. The shifts aren’t rotating so if you pick that shift you can’t change it or rotate it. Requesting days off aren’t a guarantee 9/10 you won’t get it. This is a second version of chic fil a. Smh. Turnover is HIGH. Quick to get in , and when you’re in you’ll see why. & they don’t give you a discount if you work there , you want something out the store you gotta ring it up and pay for it out your own money.
