Pros

Investment in technology, good location, opportunities exist for those who are bright and new to the professional workforce to begin careers

Cons

Accretive Health promotes itself as a progressive organization, but the trickle down of the management style is more typical of a mid 20th century U.S. company. Employees are not treated well, overworked, under paid, competing for limited opportunity and resources and the misery is evident. Racial diversity is limited beyond the supervisory level or industry technical expertise level which is a throwback for those with advanced degrees in the field. It is clear, the path to senior levels is not open to all. Unfortunately, implementation of these decisions are being funded with public monies from government supported training programs. Accretive Health is equal opportunity, however, in treatment of workers of all hues. Intimidation, elimination, an environment of negative competition, and limited company resources to perform job functions affects all worker bees. The worker bees include experienced workers of all races and new hires who may provide Accretive with a tax break for hiring. It is mostly a scam.
