You can change the name but the company is the same. - Cash Posting R1 RCM Employee Review

Pros

You get to form a bond with your co-workers, because you are all part of the same daily struggle. You have to band together in order to make it. Not ungrateful because I made the money and worked HARD for it. The best thing to happen was my last day at the company.

Cons

There is NO work, life balance, mandatory overtime labeled "expected OT". Excessive workload and to top it off you are threatened my upper management to get it done or get written up, from every angle. The constant bullying tactics within management is the worse I've ever seen. Note: Do not go to HR to voice your concerns, inevitable retaliation will happen along with HR "advising" management on the legal steps to torture the employee, without resulting in a lawsuit. You have to be part of the "Good ole boys club" in order to make it or promoted.... or you will need to be the listening ear to report to the managers for brownie points. Cash posting is the worse department, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
