      Pros

      There is opportunity to grow, if you know the right people in the organization. They have good benefits and they are competitive. The front line people that work at the site level are very smart and willing to share their knowledge.

      Cons

      Senior leadership don't seem to be innovative in their business strategies. They do not support their subject matter experts to contribute the business strategies and provide input. They are not always fair in compensating their employees.

      Amazing work life balance and flexible hours with many projects to learn from

      Cons

      No promotions, and the yearly pay increase is basically the inflation rate

      Pros

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Cons

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
