      -Compartmentalized research structure (to be expected), experience depends of the lab you are a part of -The cultural norms can result in a poor work/life balance

      Good time off and work life balance rules (though some groups may not follow them) Smart, competent coworkers Lots of resources to do your job Decent resources for international researchers

      Not a cut-throat environment, but not as collaborative as other labs I've worked Some groups have more toxic cultures
