Pros

London Office: The salary is fair. The other consultants were great, and naturally they all have left too as no self-respecting person can stick around for long in this soul destroying organisation (if indeed it can be called an 'organisation' at all!).

Cons

London Office: Within my first week of joining the company as a consultant, I already knew this was a sinking ship! For a small company of about 6 or 7 people at any given time, the turnover is extremely high. 5 people left in a space of 6 months, with 3 leaving all in about one month. The problems are many; the major issues being: - A software stuck in the 1980s (as one client quite rightly put it!) - the actual workforce management software that Riteq sells has its foundation and functionality still firmly in the dark ages of heavily manual, illogical and unnecessary processes. Unfortunately it is apparent there is no clear strategic direction for the product and zero investment in its development. Consultants are not encouraged to collaborate with the Development team either. - The abysmal nature of the 'Consultant' role itself - this is closely linked to the rubbish software. Because the system is so heavily manual, all the "consultants" there were consultants in name only, and the role was in fact that of a glorified data entry clerk. All you hear in the office from morning to evening is the sound of mouse-clicks; it's a clicking hell-hole! - Appalling Leadership - the ownership and management teams are sorely inept. The ownership functions as a salesman. In selling the product a lot of lies are told outright to clients and staff . The motto here seems to be "over-promise, under-deliver"! The level of intelligence demonstrated in many of the practices is low. The client services direct management is extremely incompetent, lacking the skills (even decent social skills!), knowledge and relevant experience to effectively manage a team (the manager many a time openly stating they don't like people!). For such dysfunctional management (all the 5 consultants who left were under the same manager), she displays a superior attitude and is blatantly rude to the owner in front of other staff. - A stifling environment / company culture. - Shockingly unprofessional with clients. - Disconnect from the wider teams operating in Australia. Beware of this outrageously shady company. It is thoroughly unprofessional, badly managed and extremely clueless, without much of a future at all.
