Lots of work hours, everyone gets underpaid, there's 20 VP's, and everyone who busts their butt gets average reviews. - Anonymous employee ROAM Data Employee Review

Pros

A couple of good people still work here, but half the personnel left since I started working. Good God, that's pretty much all the Pro's I can think of. I don't know why I stayed for so long.

Cons

The founders are no longer with the company. Roam Data is now an Ingenico company. Everyone who wanted to make the company into something big pretty much all left. You'll work long hours, and I mean long hours if you're on one team. You'll work strict hours if you're on another. Your bonus and benefits are mediocre, and the longer you've been with the company, the less you'll make. Since it was more or less a start-up in 2011, people who got hired around or before then got start-up base salary. Everyone's reviews are average, the standard is a 3% raise. You get the picture. There's like 20 VP's, who all make more money than you do, and hardly anyone gets promoted from within the company. Turnover rate is pretty high, you won't know 70% of the people in the company that you see walking around. Find a better company to work at. Everyone who's been here since the start-up days are looking to jump ship. Most of them have already left, except there's a couple employees that have Visa's or this is their first company they worked for, so they don't have any leverage to find anything else much better out there.

Pros

French company. Thursday lunch. Good location in downtown Boston and nice office. There is an opportunity to get paid and not do much. Good outlook for the company because of small number of hardworking individuals.

Cons

French company. Too many people just hang around and contribute almost nothing. Unpredictable work hours due to poor planning. Too many customer oriented projects and is difficult to prioritize requests. No communication between each group. Employee happiness is not on management's priority. Frequent organizational changes due to recent merge. Internal promotion never happen here. All management are brought on board from outside of the company. Too much politics. Very mechanical organization structure.
