Pros
ROI has more than doubled in size since I started here, which speaks to the growth and direction of our agency. Being said, you can still walk around the office and know most employees by name. Because our hiring process is so in-depth, you are guaranteed to spend your day with only the most intelligent, dedicated and personable co-workers! The social aspect of ROI is very strong - many ROI'ers are great friends across teams and departments and get together outside of work. Outside of the 1-2 months of initial training, I can't say I've ever had a slow day at ROI. Our industry is changing rapidly, and we pride ourselves on being the thought-leaders on those changes. While much of our day consists of data analysis, (which is more fun than it sounds!) we also constantly interact with clients, attend internal training, and collaborate with our Google teams. I haven't had a "boring" day in years. ROI is a great place to grow a career, and communication is really encouraged all of the way up to our leadership team. While travel is not a huge part of our jobs, I've had the opportunity to visit many new places as a result of client visits, trade shows and career fairs. Outside of work, travel is personal passion of mine and here, you can extend work trips with personal vacation. It's awesome! Oh, insurance is nearly 100% paid for. You can’t find that anywhere else.
Cons
As it is to be expected in our industry, Q4 is the most important time of the year for many of our clients. Be prepared to obsess/stress on behalf of clients during the holidays. Personally, I've spent many hours working during Thanksgiving. It’s just the nature of the job. Because we spend 90% of our time sitting, I think it would be beneficial to have some sort of office gym, or even better, a paid-for gym membership. Many tech companies offer this perk. We used to have free weekly yoga, but I think a broader fitness offer would incentivize employees to be healthier, (and probably more productive!)
