Pros
The people are great. Different teams have different cultures, but everyone is generally friendly and there are several intra-team and office-wide events that are a lot of fun. There's a lot of genuine care, which I could tell even by the timing of my own layoff, and I do appreciate that. The offices I've been to have been beautiful.
Cons
Leadership is also friendly, but the decision-making is opaque. I never felt like I had a solid understanding of what was coming. It often felt like I missed an email (except there was no email, just sudden decisions). To be clear, I mean the board of directors and CEO; my individual supervisor was great. They are unfortunately very good at layoffs. As I said, they do it with care, but it's still demoralizing to see folks vanish. HR was awful. I have never had a positive interaction with them. Specifically the director. It still boggles my mind how simple questions could be ignored or answered so unhelpfully as to be useless.
