Pros

The office is nicely refurbished & has a nice view and the cleaner is nice. Some really nice employees amongst a pack of wolves

Cons

Poor leadership and lack of accountability, a variety of narcissistic managers who restructure across the board in order to take out high performing employees (deemed as a threat I guess), disappointing lack of vision and strategy, projects never complete, very hierarchical and very little faith in the executive team to deliver results. Previous CEO (Thos) was terrific and had a great 7-year run with enormous wins on the board and highly approachable. Unclear what the new CEO is doing. I've watched HR treat staff so poorly during all the many restructures (most people are treated like criminals which is very inhumane) and it feels like the restructures are a regular occurrence at Rabobank Australia, which brings the mood down across the 5 floors. People are now too scared to call out serious bank risks they identified in fear of loosing their jobs. It's lost it's true cooperative values for which it prides itself in having. A total shame given the head honcho in the Netherlands just gave a brilliant speech about new initiatives. If only they could just complete the initiatives they already started though....

Pros

Rabobank culture outside of M&A is positive. Can do travel exchange programs

Cons

Poor work culture, lack of mentorship, lots of leadership turnover and general inappropriate office environment towards women in the IB sector.
