Pros
Burnaby office used to be a great place to work. Bright people supportive of each others efforts, with lots of top-end talent. Had a solid R&D (HW and SW) team in Burnaby during Convedia years. Compensation was good/fair. Supportive of flexible work hours and work from home.
Cons
After Convedia acquisition in 2006, first the HW team was downsized, and then the SW team was outsourced to India around 2012. Remaining staff today in Burnaby largely architects, senior systems designers, and technical support. Limited (if any) growth opportunities in Burnaby location in foreseeable future. Radisys today is a hodge podge of products and solutions from past investments and acquisitions, with limited synergies. Executive team continues to vacillate on which product category or strategy to focus on, hence all product lines are not keeping up with competitors, and none of the product lines are leaders in their space. Hence at corporate level, Radisys continues to struggle financially.
