Pros
Very laid back environment and most people are very nice. While tight, there is parking on site. Techs are some of the best I’ve ever worked with Huge fleet of loaner cars (trending downward however due to sales selling them and Subaru not being able to replenish)
Cons
The pay is not what is promised in the interview. They pay Service Advisors like Service Managers only compensating with a max of 1% on the NET (after all service bills/internals/rentals/payroll are paid). Was told that survey money is a regular thing which it is not. Subaru has 5 markers you must meet to be eligible for the quarterly bonus and all it takes is 1 bad survey to knock you out. They will not provide a play plan for you to sign. They will also not provide a breakdown of your pay when commission checks come in. You’re left wondering with such an underwhelming paycheck if it’s even accurate. Management is are nice people, but… 2 managers covering 6 advisors should be more than enough, but somehow isn’t. Both defer questions to the other or even people in separate departments and nobody ever wants to take responsibility for a issue. They try to stay as hands off as possible which makes whatever problems could be small issues if addressed correctly, a much bigger issue. For these reasons and more, the service department has become a revolving door for advisors and techs are starting to leave as well.
