Don’t work here - Sales Associate/Keyholder Rag-O-Rama Employee Review

A lot of micro management, too many managers, high turnover rate, if u put in a two weeks notice they will say don’t come back the next day, higher up management and owner are insensitive, wants u to be happy to be at work but are extremely annoying and nit picky, shows favoritism, goes back on their word, unorganized, higher management calls store as a customer to see how u approach and carry the conversation, holds meetings and says the same things instead of things that actually matter, tries to say requests off cannot be made or approved for months in advance, complains about your availability even if u are part time, raises prices almost every month on second hand clothing, is not serious or concerned enough about keeping the store clean and sanitized during covid, management not on the same page (probably because there is so many) but even higher management is not on the same page, higher management talks badly about employees behind closed doors, store managers speak inappropriately around other employees, keeps store cramped (not enough space for what they put out), tries to tell employees they can’t speak to each other and to focus on working only (as if we’re in elementary school), says there is an open door policy but if u say anything they don’t like or agree with they will either be spiteful towards u, fire u, or not let u complete your two weeks if u put a notice in, higher management doesn’t like being called out when they’re wrong, higher management doesn’t take advice from employees, store managers act like your friend one day then talk about u the next, female store manager cultural appropriates, female store manager expresses her h**ness a lot, wants u to put in requests off 3 weeks ahead (2 weeks is usual , who knows what some days they might need of almost a month in advance?), will stand over u as u write your request off or changing your availability, will still expect u to come into work even when you’re sick, expects u to get a doctors note if you’re sick (no one goes to the doctor for a cold), don’t hire enough men, no work/life balance (wants u to cater to them), DON’T WORK HERE! The location being in Little Five Points is cool and the only pro. Only a good job for part time college students as you’d start with $12/hr.
