Pros

This role has lived up to my expectations and more. Our prospect and customer pool is so kind, curious, and empathetic, which is reflected in the way leadership runs Rally (and it makes cold calling/emailing a less arduous experience). The start up energy is really fun and no one takes themselves too seriously, which is hard to find in a sales org. Leaders are motivated and supportive of job transitions and promotions. The energy of the sales team is a balance of strategic, hard work and celebrating wins as they come. I know everyone says don’t be friends with your coworkers, but that’s reeeeally hard here!

Cons

You will have to grind to hit quota, but its a well-paid grind! There has been a bit of hiring and firing, as is the nature of sales. The interview process is rigorous, but you’ll understand why when you’re hired!

Pros

The team culture is the real standout here. Wins get celebrated across the board. People are thoughtful, collaborative, and genuinely invested in what they're building, which sounds like a cliché until you actually experience it. As a CSM, you are truly seen as a strategic partner to customers, so you get deep exposure to complex accounts and real ownership over outcomes. That's made easier by the fact that Rally takes "customer-first" seriously company-wide. People across the org are actively talking to customers and listening to how they work, and you can feel it in how product decisions get made. You're not the lone advocate for the customer internally. Leadership is very open about the company's direction, which makes you feel like a partner rather than just an employee. Leadership trusts the team, so there's little red tape, if any. If you see a problem or have a passion for something, you're empowered to go fix it.

Cons

Things move fast and processes are still maturing, which is just the nature of an early-stage company. What's less typical is how much Rally has invested in documentation and resources (onboarding materials, product guides, a solid knowledge base, etc.) so you're not left figuring it out from scratch.

Pros

Rally is genuinely the best team environment I have ever been part of. The culture is incredibly collaborative even though we are a remote company. Everyone here is so supportive and they all truly care about the research space, our product, and doing their best work to help both the team and our customers succeed. The team is extremely humble and ego-free. You'd have a very hard time finding someone here who wouldn't jump in to help immediately if you asked. Since we are a startup, there's a very strong sense of ownership in what you're doing. Leadership trusts our skillsets and allows us to have real impact in how we work toward our goals, while still providing thoughtful feedback and support. They strike a great balance in that area. In my time here, our leaders have been consistently thoughtful, helpful, transparent, and invested in helping me achieve my own goals.

Cons

Like any fast growing startup, some processes and systems are still being built out and optimized. This can be a con if you prefer very structured environments or minimal ambiguity. The flip side is that you have a real opportunity to help shape and build these processes as we evolve.
