Pros

Wish I could say there are any

Cons

Over worked & underpaid. The artistic director doesn’t do their job, nor do they listen. Only cares about keeping up appearances. Abuse is common here and if you’re not easy to manipulate to push over, they’ll do what they can to push you out

Pros

Great people to work with. Everyone there is friendly and nice. The job responsibility can be interactive. Interns handle half of the actual workload. But you get to experience what it's like for a lot of different positions.

Cons

Small office. Crowded working environment. No pay for interns, but they can offer school credits upon request. Work can be a bit tedious sometimes.

Pros

Rattlestick offers you a unique opportunity to get truly hands on with theater producing. With that, comes an amazing team of young creatives who will do anything to make your project a success! The Executive Director, Director of Development, and the associates were all wonderful - always dreaming big and doing their best to make new art.

Cons

The staff is so small, that all of the work gets put on a small group (like 2 or 3) people. However, the upper management keeps growing and expanding the theater company faster than the staff are able to keep up! I would consistently work 12 hour days without any additional compensation (and I only made a measly $10K/annually to begin with). On top of that, if any little thing went wrong, the whole staff was chewed out and belittled. The COO picks favorite employees (admittedly) will ignore the others, giving all of the "fun" work to them. Also, if you say you like a certain project, he'll put all of the responsibility solely on you (without even telling other managers about your job so they pile more work on). On top of everything, he has no respect for personal lives.
