Pros

Management works closely with new hires to get mentored and adjusted to the business. They don't baby you so you have to put forth an effort. The software products are high tech and the engineering process is well defined. As far as pay, they really do pay market value. Outstanding benefits like, 401K, healthcare, flexible schedules when you need it, 9/80 Fridays off. The HR lady is super nice and takes the time to talk with anyone and get their questions answered. Location is pretty nice too. Lots of places to eat nearby. Free parking (after working in DC, you learn to appreciate free parking).

Cons

Some of the employees who don't work hard manage to survive and they complain a lot. I can tell that some of them wrote sensational negative entries here on Glassdoor which is pretty immature. Fortunately, they are few. Big Raytheon has gone overboard on Export controls and policies. If you travel overseas, you better read the rules, allow lots of time and be ready for some challenges when you get to your international location. They make you take a ton of export training and for every conversation with a foreign national you have to fill out something called RGEMS. Very tedious.
