Pros

Lovable students with engaged families. Strong reading curriculum

ReGeneration Schools Response

At ReGeneration Schools, we are committed to listening and continuous improvement. ReGeneration Schools is led by a Black woman who brings her lived experience to running a network of K-8 public schools that prepare students for success in college. Teachers create a learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and welcomed. Students are challenged by rigorous college-prep coursework that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. We also promote continuous learning among our staff members. Teachers receive on-the-job coaching to help them grow as they continue to support and challenge students.

Pros

The set curriculum that is used by the school produces higher results and helps the students. It is rewarding being able to help students to see that college is a true reality. There are many opportunities for the staff to bond and learn together.

Cons

The school curriculum is very stringent and there isn't any flexibility in veering away from it. However, the curriculum has proven results to show that it works.

Pros

Committed, caring teachers, some of the kids are great.

Cons

Management/Corporate does not care about changing for the better. They do not respect their teachers or care about what they have to say. But many teachers are unlicensed and unfit for teaching and shouldn't be there. Many kids with serious emotional issues that go unaddressed.
