Pros
Teachers do care. Opportunities to bond with students and families
Cons
Wow. Where to start? This place is what nightmares are made of. Imagine every day waking up dreading going to work. Either because your leadership has failed to communicate or is constantly micromanaging you to the point you’re ill almost everyday with dread. Then students that need extra support that the school refuses to provide will abuse you. Verbally. There’s no social services. You ARE the social services. And don’t think that you’ll get paid extra for staying late or working during lunch or covering classes several times a week. That is the norm. The culture. And if you’re planning to have small children or a new baby, don’t do it here. It might just cost you your unborn child’s life from the stress. You’re on the 4th floor and need a doctor’s note for the elevator. Or to wear gym shoes. Every student is a dollar. And you better make sure you keep every dollar in that school. At what cost? Your sanity. Your health. Maybe even starting your own family.
