Pros
There are not many issues to highlight. The work is interesting, and you gain significant visibility and exposure to the EV industry. The benefits offered are decent, and the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion is refreshing. However, I am still surprised that this company continues to operate.
Cons
They claim to be a fully "remote" company while exploiting it. I didn't think a company could micromanage in a remote role... I was wrong. They have mastered remote micromanagement at every level and every turn. They hold weekly "work plan" meetings with the manager, who lacks people management skills, to monitor every minute you work and what you accomplish. There is zero autonomy; your days are tracked to the minute. They say this under the veil of "billing purposes," but that narrative is trite, disingenuous, and weak at best. There is no training provided on the systems, tools, and platforms used. You are simply thrown into the role and expected to be a subject matter expert. A very high turnover rate can indicate that the workplace is toxic.. Perhaps the worst-managed company I've ever encountered.
